Jen and Owen, Engagement Photos

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Jen and Owen are planning their destination wedding from Arizona.  I am so excited to work with this couple, and get to know them through their planning process.  Wayne Denny was kind enough to provide a few shots from their engagement session. Take a look at this absolutely gorgeous couple…

This is my favorite shot of them…

Thank you Wayne for sharing these wonderful images.

Q + A

Friday, January 29th, 2010

I have decided to start writing a q+a series.  Most of the couples that I work with have never been married before, and are new planners {wedding virgins if you must}. I will take the questions that I am asked during our meetings and events, and address them on my blog.  I hope this will clarify a few things for my brides and grooms– while reaching out to others who may have the same questions.

Boothomatic

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Photobooths have become the trend at weddings.  These fun-filled pieces of equipment provide hours of entertainment for your guests.  Not only that, they double as favors and documented memories {ie. photostrip guest book}. Check out this company based in New York– Boothomatic. They have taken the photobooth concept one step further.

Check out the Boothomatic!

Boothomatic is a portable, collapsible, digital photo booth, handcrafted from environmentally friendly bamboo.  It takes the traditional idea of the photobooth and turns it inside out.  Instead of sitting inside the booth, grab some friends and stand, sit, jump or do a little dance in front of it, press the handheld wireless trigger and Boothomatic will do the rest.  Portraits can be viewed immediately after they are taken, on a screen at the rear of the booth, creating a visual treat for all of your guests.

There are two reasons why I love this new product:

1. It is portable, meaning you can move it around your reception all night long!
2. The company is green!! And no, not in the “they want your cash” way.  They are making a conscious effort to preserve the environment.  Check out their Green Policy.

I realize that this company is in New York. But I just had to share!!

Bedazzle My Bonbons

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I came across this company at a recent tradeshow I attended. What a perfect treat for your guests! These can serve as a great favor, a unique tray passed item, or a wonderful “edible” display. Bedazzle My Bonbons comes in a variety of colors {and flavors}.  If you are wondering how these chocolate treats taste, they are delicious! But you don’t have to take my word for it, you can order free samples from their website to try them for yourself.
